WI: Athens Wins The Pellopnesian War

General impact : "democracy" gets associated with overbearing pseudo-Empires (think Rome) and doesn't have any moral authority against oligarchs and tyrants (as Athens would be operating in an auithoritarian way as leader of Greece).

Thebes and Macedon would still rise eventually - whether Athens has the army to squash them quickly is debatable.

Athens would also be in a cold war with Persia (think Venice versus the Ottomans) which might turn hot

"Best" outcome for Athens would be her leading a Greek league against Persia sometime between 380-330 BC and conquering much of the Levant. Essentially an anologue of the Eastern Roman Empire seven centuries early. With much of Iran in native hands still there would still be a "Parthian" question and there would also remain the twin issues of Rome/Italy and Carthage.

Worst outcome would be a collapse of Athenian power (much as Sparta) and a return to something close to OTL. As mentioned before, democracy will be an odd footnote in academic texts.
