WI: Articles of confederation

If the AoC are kept, then a mess most surely ensues.
But, if you can somehow reform them, then perhaps the US could become a second Switzerland of sorts.
The New Jersey constitutional plan could fit in with this:

Perhaps having Rhode Island participate in the convention could lead to interesting consequences. RI is a small state, and it is said that the New Jersey Plan was supported by the smaller states.
Although i wonder how exactly are the US going to purchase Louisiana with a less powerful federal government. Collective purchase? A piecemeal of gradual, individual state purchases?

Probably individual state purchase.I don't think they would be united enough for a collective purchase
