Wi: Arthur Stewart had lived

Arthur Stewart was the second son of King James IV Stewart, King of Scotland. He was born in 1509 and died a few months later in 1510, leaving the succession as an issue, until his brother James was born in 1512.

What I am wondering is, if he had not died as a babe, and had actually lived on throughout his father's reign to become an adult and a king, what might have happened or changed?

I guess a six-year-old succeeding would be more AWARE of what was going on than would a three-year-old but there's STILL be the need for a Regent and others to actually govern.

Hmm very true, though would things happen differently in this regency than they did for his brother?
