In 1917, Germany sunk three Argentinian ships heading towards Great Britain (Monte protegido, Toro, and other). Several groups pushed for a declaration of war against Germany. A German telegram was intercepted, and it turned out that the German ambassador Karl Von Luxburg had referred to the Argentine Chancellor as a "donkey", and had recomended sinking ships without leaving any trace.

IOTL, the German ambassador was expelled, but the country remained neutral. What if it had joined the war? Would Germany resent the lack of Argentinian exports of wheat? What effects (if any) would this have produced, in Argentina, Latin America and/or Europe?
