Hungarian throne, was assassinated by a Serbian nationalist named Gavrilo
Princip, at the instigation of Serbian Military Intelligence. The driver took a wrong turn and went down a side street where he was ultimately assassinated. Had Franz Ferdinand's driver not taken that wrong turn, Gavrilo Princip and his cohorts would have failed and Franz Ferdinand would
have lived to succeed his uncle, Franz Josef. Franz Ferdinand would have instituted the reforms Franz Josef hated and wouldn't do.
