WI an Antoninian Roman Emperor become Christian...

That the title suggestes: i'm wondering how in the IIth century the Roman and the Christian history will be affected if one, or more than one, emperor of the Antoninian Dynasty at certain point converted to Christianity. They will keep secret their conversion? Or to legalize Christianity, in order to let become soon the main religion? As Pontifex Maximus, they will try to modify important aspect of Christian Teology (Emperor-Popes... devasting mix, indeed ;)?) An early Christian Empire will survive, or managed better to survive?

( P.S.: To me, the most valuable candidate is Anthoninus Pious, but also the idea of a Christian Commodus...)

It's probably quite unlikely at this early stage: Christianity had not yet achieved the "critical mass" that it would do as the third century progressed. The best bet for an earlier Christianisation is to have the closeted Christian Emperor Philip do better against the Persians, and to be able to bring the Third Century Crisis to an end in the 250s.
