What would happen if America steals some German tanks' blueprints and tries to transport them back to the US via so called trade, but the ship the US uses to transport the blueprints gets sunk by the British? would America join the Axis, or condemn the British? this is assuming the Germans don't know about the blueprints being stolen. If America does go to war, will the British bring in Mexico?

Having the USA join the Axis is ASB with or without FDR. Britain would have to put the Irish in death camps, bomb New York, or something like that for US popular opinion be swayed enough to ally with Hitler and Mussolini against England. A scenario like yours might work in WW1, where the moral choice between the Allies and Central Powers was less clear...but not regarding Nazi Germany.
Remember, the Israelis deliberately attacked a US spy ship in 1967 and Iraq almost sunk a US destroyer during the Iran-Iraq War, both with heavy loss of US life, and in both instances the US looked the other way because of its broader strategic interests.

The U.S. would NEVER have joined the Axis unless:
The British attack the U.S. Fleet at Pearl Harbor without warning.
The combined Britsh/Canadian Army invaded New York. Michigan? Maine? Washington?
Britian & France invaded the Philippines.
After the British attacked Pearl Harbor, the French declared war on the United States for no discernable reason.
Also, how would Britian "bring in" Mexico?

b) No and probably no. (incidentally, why would the British sink an American vessel? If RN units saw it leaving a German port it'd be deemd a German unit flying a false flag, and unless the USA wanted to provoke an incident, they'd agree that it must've been.)

The US had a pretty good idea of how untrustworthy Hitler was before 1938. All those Jewish Americans certainly were following events in Germany and Austria. I can't quite see the Germans willingly aligning themselve with any power that would allow Jews such influential positions in politics of society.
