WI: Allies Accidentally Bomb The Vatican And Kill Pope Pius XII

As the long title says what if this had happened, assuming there was no doubt the Allies had dropped the
bombs? Historically the Vatican was bombed twice by the British and Germans in 1943 and 1944, respectively.
How would this effect the Italian Campaign, the Catholic Church, and Pope Pius XII's post-war reputation?

Pavolini and Goebbels would have a field day but after the initial chock things would go back to normal. The new Pope would secretly thank that crew :D.

The impact would've been greater, cynically, if the Pope had been killed by a German air raid.
You could have South Germany, Poland, France, Belgium, North Italy and Austria (and some Czechs too) rebel against the Germans more or less at the same time.
German desorganisation due to troops refusing to fight (for some) and logistical hell cause rapid Ally advances in Italy.
I would say an Ally air raid would slow down the Ally advance in Italy. Never mind France. ireland would distance itself even more from the Allies.
