We get a united, democratic and neutral Germany but, seeing he has to give east Germany back anyway, Stalin takes even more land from it to give to his western satellites in orden to guarantee hostility and irredentism from Germany towards them. Czechoslovakia gets Lusatia and Stalin's takes over Mecklenburg and western pommerania to create a jewish state to "resettle" soviet and eastern european jews. This gives him an answer to zionism (he really disliked it), an excuse to expell soviet jews (also disliked them), a way to paint himself as a redeemer of jews and a punisher of Germany for the holocaust (while still getting rid of his jews), a puppet states that has bo option but be loyal to the USSR and also fan the flames of german antisemitism (and the previously mentioned irredentism) for a propaganda victory and to keep his puppets in line. Is this posible or it requires Stalin or other actors to behave OCC or as they have a cristal ball? If it is posible what about the repercussions?
Well, forced resettlement always requires murder, generally in large numbers, so even more Jews die. The traumatized population in Mecklenburgh and Pommerania won't exactly be notable for their economic dynamism (due to being a traumatized population forced to live in a place they wouldn't otherwise choose). So I doubt his "redeemer of Jews" schtick would impress anyone besides the Tankies.
I have to wonder why the WAllies would agree to this. In OTL they didn't see any value to a neutral Germany - after all, they had most of Germany and that was 50 million more people who could put their young men in uniform to stand against the Soviet hordes.
I also wonder how fast this united Germany gets nukes. This isn't a small country like Austria or Sweden (and even Sweden considered getting its own nukes), Germany would be a major power with 60 million people and I doubt they'd like being pushed around by both sides.
Certainly, I suspect this Germany would lean heavily towards being pro-West.
Anyway, I'd say it generally is remembered as one of Stalin's poorer ideas by future generations.
