WI: All of Muhammad's children survive?

According to Islamic sources, Fatimah had three sisters, that died in their 20s and 30s, and three brothers, that died in infancy. What could've happened if they all had survived to middle age or old age? Fatimah's role in Islam would probably end up becoming a relatively minor one for example, due to her three brothers not being dead...

It's likely that one of the sons would end up as Caliph, but I do think based on cultural, theological, and geographic separation you would end up with something akin to the Sunni-Shia split.

Fatimah role is important because she was muhammd favourite child and came from his first wife, and being married to Ali. Her role won't change. From what we can peace from sources even the sons that didn't die at birth we can see he still favoured her. Also will the sons take up the mantle of caliph maybe but doubtful they will lead straight after his death. The rashidun has a shura and the sahabas were seen to be better leadership and knowledge of religion. Muhammed left little for his wives and daughter so we cant just assume he will want his children to be leaders. Ali himself wasn't just elected cause he was related he was a great leader and warrior.

He had like 100 plus wives. I find it shocking he didn't have more kids. They probably just weren't notable enough to mention.

There would be even more disputes between Mohammed's descendants. We might see even more factionalised Islam as in OTL.

Alternatively, and I personally think this is more likely, the concept of the Caliph being elevated by decision of the Ummah could rise to greater prominance in a climate where there's no clear claiment for "dynasts" to unite behind (Think of how the Bourbon-Orlean-Bonaparte split broke the back of the Monarchist Right in France). If no one decendent can rally the majority of recognized support, you could see something closer to a noble republic/feudal "first among equals" system emerge.
