WI Alexius IV paid the crusaders in Byzantine treasures

So as we know the crusaders emanded heavy payment from Alexius IV for their journey onwards. SO WI Alexius decided that since he lacked money he give some of the roman treasures. Say that the anti-latin faction realizes the empire is in trouble and doesnt revolt.
SO What happens now that Alexius gives the treasures equivalent of what the crusaders want. Will the city not get besieged. If so what occurs?

No. Fundamentally the payment was required in Silver because that was the chief means of exchange in the period. The treasures, while valuable, cannot be used by the Crusaders to pay for supplies or goods for example, and so they're going to need to either exchange them with Venice for Silver anyway (but they'd then need twice as much as before to pay off Venice), and Doge Dandolo had a very large chip on his shoulder when it came to the Byzantines that meant he wanted the city impoverished.

In any case, I'm not really sure if there are treasures enough in the city to actually pay off the Crusaders. IOTL, the entire Imperial treasury, most of the Church plate and increased taxes weren't enough. Apart from some completely unmovable frescos, there's the bronze horses of course, some statues, the partchments from the library, but very little that would appeal to the majority of the crusaders.
