WI: Alexandre Dumas, and the rest of France, without Napoleon Bonaparte

I'm not sure how many forums have already gone into depth on what France and the world would be like without Nap so please link me to them. For those who'd like to renew the discussion, please do. As well how would the life of General Alexandra Dumas be different without Nap, who may or may not be responsible for his eventual demise. I know that there is one novel, 'Seyatel Bur' by Sverzhin Vladimir, in which Dumas become emperor in place of Nap, who take a commision in Russia, but I cannot find an English translation to enjoy.

Sverzhin is not a "hard AH" read, it's a "soft AH" with ASB elements. While "Seyatel Bur" /The Sower of Storms is rather low on ASB (the ghost of Bruce protagonists encounter and the alternate realities traveilling protagonists who just happen to be an international team of a James Bond expy and a Russian army officer don't count), his later works are so niche that it's very improbable that somebody cared to translate them - English language market of low quality ASB stuff seems already taken.
