WI : Alexander did not burn Thebes

Phoenix and Prothytes were the price of peace for Thebes (as far as I am aware).

If Alexander did not burn down Thebes, what would have been the consequences of a peaceful resolution in Alexanders favour?

My thoughts included perhaps additional manpower and wealth due to Thebes, and potentially a linguistic rival for the development of Koine Greek.

Could this lead to an induction (by force or word) of Sparta, or Crete EDIT: Into the League of Corinth?

Alexander would have had a better reputation but perversely this may have led to less resources being offered by the "allied" Greeks.

Koine would still have evolved as Thebes would have been just as insignificant compared to the Hellenistic Empire as Sparta and Crete were.

Which is why Alexander never really bothered to subjugate either of these states (and why bother with Crete - he could hire all the troops he wanted from there anyway).
