" wogbashing"?

I think the term dates back to the 1920s or 30s, when the British Empire was in the habit of using advanced weapons - often air or artillery delivered - to impose their will without risk on natives who did not have complementary views on the benefits of imperialism. These natives often had brown skins, and were thus "wogs" (Worthy Oriental Gentlemen). A deplorable term in many ways, but it's hung around due to being a useful shorthand descriptor for those types of operations.
