Wi/AHC: Seljuk China

So, is it possible for the Seljuks to move into China and conquer it, eventually (I suppose) establishing themselves as a new dynasty? If so, what are the possible implications of this in China, Central Asia, the Middle East, etc.?

The easiest route is through a perpetuation of the Northern/Southern Dynasty dynamic in China (that OTL went from 300AD - 600AD). Southern China stays relatively stable and ruled by Han regimes; Northern China continues to be periodically invaded by (increasingly-Turkic) 'barbarians' who get used to settled life, and so on.

So basically, what would in OTL times be the Sui and Tang dynasties continues to be a mishmash of short-lived dynasties and invasion regimes. This creates power vacuums in the region which periodically draw in hordes of Turkish tribesmen looking to seek their fortune - and maybe one such horde can be Seljuk.

It's possible for a Seljuk Horde to (for whatever reason) cross the near-entirety of the Steppe to invade China in the 900s, but by that time they will come up against stiffer opposition in the form of the Khitans, Tanguts and Uighurs, all of which would likely incentivize whatever Turkish leader there was to abandon the enterprise and go for easier fare against the Central Asian cities.
