WI/AHC/PC: French Revolution exploding mid-US War of Independence

Here's a question I've had for a while...

What if the French Revolution had erupted during the US Revolutionary War instead of six (8 if we count Yorktown as it's informal end) years afterwards.

Is it possible?

What ramifications can it have?

Will this help or hinder the efforts of the US-American revolutionaries?

It would... not bode well for the Americans. It would be much easier for the English to simply finish off the revolutionaries and then fight a French rebellion than to fight America + France + Spain + Holland and then France + 8 trillion vassals like OTL.

Britain would not be able to affect the French Revolution in any particular way if they were involved in America. Not that they had much affect in OTL anyway beyond seizing Toulon, destroying much of the gutted French Navy and stirring up rebellions in the Vendee.

A French revolution may not even help the British in the ARW. It took a particular set of circumstances for the Estates to fall out with the King and then conflicts between factions become as magnified as they were. With the pressure of a foreign war to focus mind the French may realise that British Monarchs saw a good deal when they took the whole less power for more money offer.
