WI/AHC: Catarina of Portugal becomes ruler of Portugal

During the War of Portuguese Succession, there were many claimants for the Portuguese Throne, but two major ones. First was being Philip II of Spain, the eventually winner which create the Iberian Union, and António, Prior of Crato, an illegitimate grandson of Manuel I of Portugal.

However, there was one other claimant to the Portuguese Throne; Catarina of Portugal, granddaughter of Manuel I of Portugal, and married to the Duke of Braganza. She was said to have been an ambitious, cunning and power-hungry woman who participated in court intrigues, hoping to become the ruler of Portugal and reinforce the position of the House of Braganza as the most powerful noble family in the Iberian Peninsula. But she wasn't a strong claimant due to males being preferred in the Portuguese succession before the females.

Challenge: What if Catarina manages to claim the Portuguese throne, rallying support for her claim through any means possible, and beat back the other claimants such as Philip II and António, Prior of Crato.

There are two outcomes for this idea:
A) Catarina becomes Queen of Portugal
B) Catarina eventually places one of children on the throne (Possibly Teodósio II returning)

Catarina’s claim was not so strong because her late elder sister had left two sons and a daughter meaning who the most legitimate heir was this guy but he was only eleven and his father was in the employ of Philip II reason for which he had not claimed the crown

She can be regent of this kid and then marry him once he's of age to stay in power
