Thanks for the clarification. I misspoke. The fact is that he did have more popular votes than did GW Bush. Don't forget, President Clinton also never got the majority of popular vote in either of his elections but he did get more popular votes than his major opponents.

Only President GW Bush, re-elction, and both of President Obama's elections did they both get the majority of popular votes. Hilary Clinton got only 49% of popular vote, but my points was, and I don't know how important it is to this timeline, was that a Majority of the popular vote in this last election, 54% did not want D Trump to be president.
this wouldnt have happen if California did have that damn one party system voting system.

I don't think that would affect presidential elections. The winner take all aspect of the electoral college likely depresses turnout on both sides, but if you're a Republican in California you're not going to abstain from the presidential election because of all-D runoffs in down ballot races.

re[ublicans had nothing to go vote for that day with no republican in the senate race.

Agree, but if the EC were proportional or didn't exist, they would have a reason to show up for Trump.

Remove either factor (jungle primary or winner take all EC) and there's a reason to vote.
