WI/AHC: A Wonder Woman animated series of the DCAU

Know, many of use know and love the DC animated universe. Started with Batman, and then Superman, it would give us 8 great series, with Batman Beyond, Static Shock, and the Justice League series. Now if the Dark Knight and Man of Steel can get their own series, why not our favorite Amazon?

Basically, how do you get a series about Wonder Woman into the DC animated universe?

And what affects would this have on pop culture, the rest of the DCAU, and so on.

I believe that the Wonder Woman direct-to-video animated movie was in a way a quasi-pilot of sorts for a TV series. That could have lead to a real TV series, probably shown maybe after 8 pm on the Cartoon Network as a TV series intended for a slightly older viewing audience.

Wonder Woman was great in JL and JLU, but that version of her character wouldn't work as a standalone series. DC Nation Wonder Woman on the other hand is le chic. Hell I'd watch a team up series between her and Brave and the Bold Aquaman.

I don't know what I could really contribute to this discussion beyond squeeee and demanding that some sort of transdimensional transportation device be created so I could watch it.

I feel that if it does happen, it'll get cancelled early due to lack of toy sales...
Because for quite a number of animated superhero shows, they got cancelled due to the lack of boys buying toys (because according to the executives girls buying toys don't count...)
(Yes, I'm referring to the cancellation of the Young Justice animated show here...).

At the same time the DCAU was such a big thing, if they had had a Wonder Woman series, and it was reasonably successful, that might lead to a reassessment of the value of more girl oriented shows at an executive level. We can still dream.
