WI/AHC: A US Naturalization Act that includes all peoples

That is all socially recognized races, religions, and ethnic groups.

Not at all hard to do. And in fact, the provisions of the original 1790 Act, were technically made null and void by 1802. But it took until 1952 to fully clarify such; this did not need to happen and this problem could have easily been rectified much earlier.

Truly, this is one of the strangest parts of American history(indeed, truth is far stranger than fiction); one would suspect that if this universe were represented in a TL, that people would be picking this situation apart with a fine toothed comb and commenting on plausibility issues.....

How where the provisions of the original made null in 1802? And what happened with it in 1952? Sadly I'm ignorant of this.

I'm mainly worried about the 1870 version of it which specified that naturalization was then possible for people of African origin but thus did not include other groups such as Chinese which caused further problems later on.

The Immigration Act of 1952. Should be on Wiki somewhere.

Sorry, man, I'm a pretty smart guy, but I can be quite terrible at explaining stuff sometimes unless I have oodles of info on hand.....what I said was pretty much true, though: at least in certain eras, political corruption was a primary reason for these issues, though, as well as the nativism that helped gloss it over, I can tell you that much right now, at least.

Edit: Post numbah 4,000.....w00t! :D
