What if Francoist Spain joined the Axis and France was devided between Germany, Italy and Spain?
also, would Spain conquer any other nations?
Franco specifically avoided war because he knew that war-ravaged Spain could not handle it. In fact, he even played both sides by allowing Jews to take refuge in Spain (even though he was rather anti-Semitic). If he joins the Axis, in the short term it benefits Germany; Gibraltar may fall. Portugal probably gets invaded, as despite being fascist it was allowing British forces to use the Azores as naval bases, and there was the old Anglo-Portuguese alliance. However, Torch will then include naval assaults on the south coast of Spain, and possibly landings at the same time as Sicily (or earlier). Spain collapses by 1944 at the latest.
yes, I agree Spain might not be able to handle it. But in my timeline I'm working on, the US stay out of world war II because the Japanese, assured by their ambassadors in Washington that didn't want a war and wouldn't intervene in its occupation in the Pacific, didn't attack Pearl Harbor and left the Philippines unharmed. so would there even be a (succesfull) operation Torch and Husky without the Americans (not including a small amount of American volunteers)?
Also, how were the relations between Franco and Salazar in 1930?
In your TL, is the oil embargo against Japan still pursued?

War between the United States and Germany was going to happen in 1942 at the latest; Roosevelt was clearly attempting to provoke German U-boats.
