WI Aegidius fled Domain of Soissons to Britain in 463 AD?

By 463 AD Aegidius Magister Militum per Gallias was allied to Chiledric I, King of the Salian Franks, and helped him defeat the Visigoths at Orleans in 463. The Romano-British, after the Roman withdrawal from Britain, may have requested military assistance from Aegidius. At any rate, the Romano-British settlements in Armorica bordered Soissons to the west, and there was certainly trade between them, especially as they were the last outposts of Roman civilization in that part of the world.
Aegidius continued to govern until his death in 464, which may have been murder at the hands of an agent of one of Childeric's enemies. At that point his son, Syagrius, took his place.
WI Aegidius realised that holding Soissons surrounded by Franks and Visigoths was a lost cause responded to the plea of Brittons for help and landing in Britain? Could he had reestablished Roman authority there and become a "shadow" Western Roman Emperor? Is this possible? How is this altering History? Any thoughts?

I suppose the question is what is going on in Britain in 463 AD ?

How ripe is it for someone to step in at the top, or would he have had to fight to unify everyone, whilst fighting off invasions ?

Its one of those periods where if someone said to me "What was happening in the world in 463 AD ?", I'd have had to reply I hadn't got a blessed clue !
