WI: Admiral Washington?

I was reading that George Washington originally wanted to be a naval officer rather than an army officer during his teen years and early adulthood. What if George Washington actually served in the Royal Navy rather than the royal army?

I doubt it would be the case but I think it would be hilarious if this avoided the seven years war. Which would mean
-no american revolution
-or french revolution
-obviously Napoleon doesn't steamroll the european continent
-spain remains something of a great power, though I imagine it would be like a naval russia. Huge in size, not much in quality.
quality.
-German and Italian unification are entirely changed
-spain and portugal take part in the scramble for Africa.

Oh and Nappy doesn't drag Europe through the enlightenment kicking and screaming so who effing knows what the culture is like.

Young Lt Washington on indépendant command of a RN sloop accidently triggers the Seven Years War while on business in the Carribean. History is inevitable, it was Washington's Doome to start events still reverberating today :p

as easy as diplomacy could defuse..maybe a war of washington ear here?

Given that Mount Vernon was named after Admirial (old grog) Vernon, by Lawrence, George's older ?half brother?, who did serve in the RN and was very taken with the man (i'm not sure why), it would be entirely believable that George goes into the RN, too.
