Adalbert of Prague was a saint who travelled to Prussia in the 990s to convert them to Christianity (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adalbert_of_Prague). However, in April 997 he was murdered by a Pagan priest due to "his imperious manner in commanding the people to abandon paganism". The Polish Wikipedia page also adds that the priest's brother was killed in a battle with the Poles.
How could his death have been avoided? Maybe if the priest's brother wasn't killed and Adalbert was less "imperious", the Prussians could have been succesfully converted maybe by more missionaries being sent?
