Let us assume a powerful, militaristic Japan as in OTL, only not imperialistic, but anti-colonialist instead.
The territories conquered / liberated by Japan are made independent nations. They are however closely aligned with Japan economically, politically and militarily.
So, the Greater Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere is the real thing: A political-economic-militar alliance / bloc dominated by the senior member Japan, but that is all: no colonies, no puppets, more like NATO is dominated by the USA or EU by Germany and France or the Commonwealth by Britain and so on.
Japan actually helps these countries to create functioning administrations, economies and armies, ensures the loyalty / gratitude of the liberated peoples and simply fight together against the western imperialist powers.
So: no Korean Annexation, no war with China, alliance with Korea, China and Thailand instead. China is helped to finish off the communists and the warlords.
Later, after the fall of France (and Netherlands): Liberation of Vietnam, Laos, Cambodgia, Malaya, Singapore, Sabah, Saravah, Brunei, Indonesia, Phillippines, Burma, Andamans, Papua, Solomons, Vanuatu etc.
China got Hong Kong, Macao and all the other concessions.
Japan got Guam, Nauru and probably a few other small islands.
Lets assume that everything goes well and all these peoples are made into friendly independent countries which would fight alongside Japan if only to mentain their independence if nothing else.
And now (finally) the questions:
How would the Pacific War go on from now (1942) on?
Is it possible for the Asians to liberate India? (via military invasion from Burma and Tibet assisted by a general Indian uprising)
Are the Western Allies and Soviets capable of defeating the Asians (probably yes) and reoccupying / recolonizing the whole area again?
I mean, is an unconditional surrender and occupation of Japan, China, Korea, Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, Burma, India, Phillippines, Malaya etc even feasable?
