Not a chance. The royal navy ruled the sea at the time. The only navy constantly training for war, always having a reserve AND an active force, rotating them and thus always having experienced crews and officers.
The royal navy would bottle up the Spanish armada in its ports, where it would be unable to get the sea training it so desperately needs.
However I cannot see why Spain would try that. The problem was not only the navy but the army, in the XVI the spanish army could have done it, but in the XVIII it was out of the question.
The 15-16th were Spain's best chance to conquer the heart of the Pink Blob. Even in the parts of the 17th they had a shot. By the 18th, they were playing a spoiler role, more than anything else.
