WI: A Larger Statue of Liberty

In the popular imagination, the Statue of Liberty is this mammoth object which dominates the skyline. In reality, it is a big statue, but is nowhere near the size people imagine it to be. Inspired by that, the question becomes, in terms of reality in the late 19th century in New York, where it could be transported and placed, and in building that statue, how large could it be? And would there be any impact on the city landscape and the development thereof which is noteworthy? Would there be an impact on the popular imagination and the imagination of immigrants?

Well, I don't know how large people imagine it to be, but including the pedestal, it's 93 meters high, which made it one of the tallest structures in the world when it was built. It's still one of the world's tallest statues.

I think most people imagine the height from base to statue is the size of just the statue itself.
