In the late 1700s, British abolitionist Granville Sharp founded the Committee of the Relief of the Black Poor, which was an organization that worked with the help of the British Crown to take Freed Slaves after the American Revolution as well as poor Blacks in London and relocate them to Africa where they would eventually create the Colony of Sierra Leone.

Shortly afterwards in the early 1800s (1822), the American Colonization Society, led mostly by Quaker abolitionists, as well as wealthy free Blacks in the North with the permission of the US government, decided to relocate freed slaves and other free Blacks in America to Africa where they would create the Colony of Liberia. Africans sent by the American Colonization Society were very well educated and the group had decent funding.

My question is that is there any way that we can get both abolitionist societies to form an international abolitionist group that worked together to form one, large colony in Africa where freed slaves and free Africans in both North America and Europe can be sent? How successful could this colony be, especially if backed by both the US and British governments? How large can it get (We can assume that it'd at the very least be as large as Sierra Leone and Liberia combined, but what about the Guinea, Ivory Coast and Ghana)?
