The Death of General Wolfe
What if the French, Austrians, and Russians had defeated Great Britain, Hanover, and Prussia in the Seven Years' War? What would be the territorial changes resulting from a victory? What political ramifications would take place going into the future in such a scenario? I'm looking for impacts in Europe, the Americas, and India primarily, but we can discuss the whole world if you guys like.
How would history play out over the next century or so should France and Austria and Russia "win" the Seven Years' War? The definition of "win" or "victory" here is up to you (naturally France is going to be looking towards just holding onto their colonies in North America as a "win" due to the massive disadvantage they had there), as well as the scenario which allows them to win the war. Go wild! (but be reasonable and realistic) Feel free to come up with as many scenarios and situations as possible to describe what would happen as a result of a Franco-Austrian-Russian victory.
Naturally Austria gets Silesia back. Russia apparently was seeking to take East Prussia, forcefully give it to Poland, and then take Courland from them in exchange (they could end up taking more land, more or less the same land Russia got in the first partition if this were to happen as well). I know Austria wanted to get rid of the Austrian Netherlands and exchange it for Bavaria at one point (and Parma and some Italian lands earlier too I believe). That could take place since Prussia would be a political non-entity had they lost the war. Sweden may hold onto Swedish Pomerania as well.
Anyway the more detail and explanation, the better. I'm asking this question because I'm currently working on a map project set in the 1880s (just before the scramble for Africa) in a world where Prussia and Britain lose the Seven Years' War. I'm hoping to make the world at least a bit balanced though (large and powerful empires are welcome and needed, but they also need realistic counterparts and potential rivals to counter them). So the bigger the discussion, the better! Thanks in advance.
