WI: 9/11 attacks caused more damage?

What if the September 11th, 2001 attacks killed more people/caused more damage, and additional targets were hit, such as the U.S. Capitol Building and White House? Would the U.S. and international response been different than it was in OTL?

In OTL, around 3,000 people were killed in the attacks. In contrast, the population of the World Trade Center on a given day was well into the tens of thousands.

I believe we already have a thread on this, although I can't find it at present.

Maybe flying a plane into a sports stadium?

It would definately be classified as a much harsher and horrific disaster, with more rattling effects in America (especially if politicians are killed).

I might envision much more animocity to Arabs, and a slight, but noticeable increase in the White-Supremisist community.

1. Make the same attack happen two hours later when the WTC was more populated.

2. Have the downed flight make it to the capitol.

Overall I don't think it will make that much difference. Attacks were bad as they were, more people simply increase the "worst terrorist attack" spectrum.

But realistically, what more could it be done? Legally I mean. You had increase in anti-terrorist legislature, new agencies popping up and tightening of security on airports.

The only real difference I can think of is that OIF happens as per OTL (likely) there is more support among population, shock taking more time to wear off.
