The Argentine carrier 25 de Mayo had a 145' BS4A catapult, the same as fitted to the rebuilt Victorious and the Hermes had one after her 1966 refit, which as we know enabled these ships to launch Buccaneer. However this cat was due for a rebuild andd the Argies had ordered parts, but these weren't delivered before the invasion and as a result sat on the the docks in Scotland. Thus her cat was dodgy and no strike was launched against the British task force.
But WI these parts had been delivered and the cat rebuilt, would the strike that was cancelled twice in the days before Belgrano was sunk have accoured?
