And crossing the Atlantic for a moment, how would popular manifestations of anti-Thatcherism be affected, if Thatcher(who got elected in 1979) didn't eventually come to be viewed as Reagan's British equivalent?
This kind of thing probably wouldn't pack quite the same punch with Carter in the male lead(regardless of what Carter's foreign-policy was). But I wonder if there would be other, more subtle, variations in the way that the Wicked Witch was perceived by her British opponents.
