WI: 1864 Election: Lincoln vs McClellan

Now we know the results of OTL. But in this partial ASBish election i am suggesting, say that McClellan acts more vigorously and ends up attacking Lee at where-ever, and the Civil war is over before or in the early months of 1864, could McClellan stand a chance of beating Lincoln, or could Lincoln be reelected to a second term.

If McClellan was the hero who won the war, he probably wouldn't challenge Lincoln and wait until 1868. Maybe Lincoln would give him the VP spot to name him the Republican heir-apparent in 1868.

If the war is won early in '64 then Lincoln wins in a landslide. McClellan's TTL-found vigor will have to wait until '68.
