What would Colorado look like if the Rocky Mountain gold and silver deposits were discovered in the 1840's instead of California's gold deposits? Would Coloradoan cities boom with similar numbers to OTL California's? Since the Rockies are significantly closer than California, would this rush spur more migration and railroad construction than the California Rush? I'm really looking for information on the migration and infrastructure development caused by something like this.
