Maybe we see a slightly more India-friendly US as opposed to Pakistan-friendly?The 15th amendment which was proposed in 1998 would had made Sharia Law the supreme law of the land. Never passed, though what if it was passed?
Most certainly after 9/11 (assuming it happens that is)Maybe we see a slightly more India-friendly US as opposed to Pakistan-friendly?

Well, slightly, but not neccessarily by much, if at all. Being a de facto theocracy hasn't really hurt the Kingdom Of Saudi Arabia's realtionship with the USA.
Which authority would have been charged with overseeing the respect of the Sharia? Without such a controlling institution, such an amendment can't be enforced.
Re Saudi, I think thats part of it. Then there is the matter that Saudi was like that before any cuddle up with the US. As for strategic importance Pakistan is key to US involvement in Afganistan as thats a lot of supplies cross PakistanThat relationship is only because of Saudi Arabia's oil reserves and strategic position in the Middle East. I think if Pakistan had sharia law, I think the US would look to India for a partnership, since Pakistan (as far as I know, feel free to correct me) has no substantial oil reserves and is not strategically important.
Saudi Arabia has a organization called the Department of Virtue and Prevention of Vice which makes sure the people are following Sharia law. ISIS, when it was a group controlling territory, had a organization called the Hisbah. Maybe something similar to these groups would pop up in Pakistan.
