Why No Hate For Honorius ?

Why is there no extreme loathing for Honorius. Here on this forum there are Byzantophiles everywhere, people who have "Angelos" as a trigger word and have a vendetta against Venice and the Papacy regardless of context. But, there seems to be a lack of that vigour in regards to Honorius, someone I hold even farther beneath the Angeloi.
The man who damned the West seems to be seen as a historical footnote in an inevitable collapse and I wish to know why that is.

I thought that in academic circles specialising in the Western Roman Empire, there WAS hate for Honorius. I guess because most people are pretty fond of Stilicho, they let Honorius get off lightly. But Honorius was easily one of the most blatantly incompetent emperors, and it couldn't come at a worse time. I also think that people's views of Stilicho are strangely positive. He was competent, sure, but I wouldn't say he was a hero. He looked out for himself just as much as for the Empire.

I have hate for him, but not on the Angelos level (I don't hate Venice or the Papacy though, they were looking out for their own interests just like Rome was). He was pretty terrible, but his terribleness was mostly in the realm of playing politics in a way that was ultimately detrimental to the state by way of killing competent leaders who challenged him. Alexios Angelos did that if anything even more than Honorius and for even more frivolous paranoid reasons, defunded the army and navy, was literally too cowardly to lead his forces, took as much of the treasury with him as he could as he fled and left his capital to be sacked, and finally deliberately solicited foreign invaders to conquer his old country so he could be their puppet Emperor. Honorius can't match half that list, so consequently the hate is far lighter.

That, and a fair amount of people still believe Gibbon when he says Rome was doomed as soon as Constantine accepted Christianity.

Well because he didn't really control power most of his reign. Stilicho was fairly competent, and then he had Saurus and Constantius.
