No, it is not. Not only the Wars of Religion continued for another 26 years but the Huguenots had been quite successful in battles and in holding their territory. For all practical purposes, Edict of Nantes was indication of their victory and they had been quite strong all the way through the reign of Louis XIII (2 big revolts) and into the reign of Louis XIV who abolished Edict of Nantes in 1685 and had to deal with a revolt inCevennes (1702 - 1715).As far as I know it only succeded "temporarily" because they were brutally killed after the initial success.
