Who shall marry Henry II of England if Eleanor of Aquitaine is not available, since she has sons from her first husband.

Stephen's daughter perhaps?Assuming Henry invaded England and somehow either forces Stephen to make him his heir or outright depose him, they might arrange some sort of conciliation.

It would appear Stephen's only surviving (legitimate) daughter was a nun, but I suppose she can be yanked out of that if it's politically expedient (IOTL she was abducted and married when she became heiress to her last brother).

But Eleanor and Louis having a son has drastic effects of its own- it would markedly increase French power vis-a-vis England and improve the king's power (if he receives his mother's inheritance in full- it could be given to a younger son, which was obviously Henry II's plan for Richard before the Young King died).

Henry tried to drum up an alliance with the Scots in the late 1140s, is a match (like Ada of Huntingdon, sister of William the Lion and granddaughter of current King David) there at all plausible? Or is that redundant because Henry is already David's great-nephew?
