Who knows Japanese History on here?

Hello, I'm currently planning on a Japanese TL in the Middle Ages, and I was wondering if anyone has that on the spectrum?
Also if you know language would help greatly

I'm currently studying it but wouldn't call myself an expert since I'm most familiar with the period from 1100-1600 and then roughly 1700-1899 since I read about it before going into school.

I know bits and pieces in terms of history, with a few areas being more knowledgable about.

As for language, I forget who all our Japanese speakers are, but I know gaijin and mcdo both know it.

I might help a little with the language, but medieval japanese is really not my forth. You might try messaging MCDO as well. I think him and me are the best japanese speakers on the board.

I believe anything before 1100 doesn't exist as all records from before this period were destroyed during upheaval. Things like the nature of the Japan-Korea relationship. Is Korea founded from a Japanese Dynasty or Japan founded from a Korean Dynasty? There's considerable disagreement on that point.

I've done a little light reading so if you have anything specific you want to know I'll dig out my books.

Oldest Japanese history books were written in the 8th century. (Kojiki was finished in 712.) In addition, the Heian period (794-1185) produced a large chunk of classic works of Japanese literature.
