Which first ladies could have made it as President?

A lot of first ladies were just as big as the president they were married to, but could any of them become president at some point?

I could see Nancy Reagan pulling it off at some point, maybe in 2000.

Also, no Hilary allowed, that's the easy way out.

Abagail Adams, Eleanor Roosevelt and Hillary Clinton all seemed like they could have, or at least held some government office, as Clinton shows.

Woodrow Wilson's wife. She performed the duties of president while he lay sick and his VP played cards.

Eleanor Roosevelt at the earliest. Truman asked her to join him on the ticket in 1948, though she politely declined the Vice Presidency in favor of staying on as Ambassador to the UN.

I did see an interesting AH book floating around somewhere, called Ike vs. Eleanor in which the Democrats nominate Eleanor after the death of Adlai Stevenson, or something like that. Don't know how it ends, though. That would be an interesting scenario, though you don't necessarily have to kill Stevenson to get Eleanor on the ticket...just have the party bosses decide that they need a Roosevelt on the ticket to keep the White House and have them convince Eleanor to run, and viola...Ike vs. Eleanor. That would be an interesting race.

If Lurleen Wallace hadn't of died of cancer, she could have assumed her husbands mantle (at least nationally) full time after he was left paralyzed by Arthur Bremer's assassination attempt in 1972. She had afterall been governor of Alabama as a surrogate.

Ok, he wasn't a President, but could have been, maybe.
