I pretty much expected Bush to get re-elected in 2004 given that we were in the midst of the Iraq War and it being only three years after 9-11. Trump, on the other hand, was pretty unexpected as the whole 2016 election was extremely close until the bitter end.
I think the more unexpected result for me was the LDDP winning the Seimas elections in 1992.
Who could've known that merely two years after declaring independence, we would vote in a party which is basically the Lithuanian Communist Party in a new code of paint?
I'm always surprised by the fact that the insist on having polls in their threads, which means that they get locked rather than sent to Chat. Oh wait, that doesn't surprise me in the slightest.
