Which countries could have realistically been decolonized earlier?

The USA is a candidate. Before they rebelled there was talk in Britain that the colonies there were a net financial loss generally and costing British taxpayers large sums to defend them so it would be better to cut them adrift to make their own way. The comparison was to the Caribbean islands which were vastly profitable.

The Treaty Ports and Colonial Concessions in China could've been removed earlier, had China been stronger and more unified.

Congo/Zaire.

Following the same line: Suriname and the Dutch East Indies. Although this line of thought was non-existent at that time, i think that both the Netherlands and those countries would have benefited from a gradual move towards independence from 1870-1900 onward to be completed in roughly 1940-1950?

A gradual move would have allowed the Netherlands the benefit of the resources and given both Suriname and Indonesia/New Guinea a chance to ease into the concept of democracy.
