When the byzantine collapse became irreversible?

In your opinion, in which date the byzantine situation was damaged beyond repair and the ottoman conquest became iminent?

Quick clarification: Are you asking specifically when it was inevitable that the Byzantines would be conquered by the Ottomans, or when it was inevitable that they'd be conquered (by someone)?

I agree with Achaemenid Rome.

The OP literally says Ottoman conquest.

By someone

The OP literally says Ottoman conquest.

I expressed myself badly, I mean when it was a point that nothing apart from ASB intervention would make the byzantine empire fall, when the empire had no options left and it was terminally condemned to have the eternal faith to be subjulgated by someone else

After the 2nd Palaiologos Civil War the Empire lost the ability to recover on its own.

1443-44 the Empire lost any hope of outside intervention outside of some serious luck.
