So how far could they have really taken it, and how much of a threat for "world peace" could they possibly have become?
To the extent that any given nuclear power could be considered a threat to world peace, though to be fair, there seems to be some merit to the idea that nukes make even the most fanatical regime surprisingly prudent and long-term oriented. MAD be praised!
