As it says in the title, I'm curious what people think the best case scenario might look like for the late 1944 Italian front.
I don't think there's enough time to seriously shift momentum to that front, so, with more-or-less OTL forces, what goals could the allies have achieved? How far could they have gotten? Far enough to shift the post-war map any?
