What would you like my first TL to be?

I thinking I should do a timeline thread, but don't know what to make it on -- other than that I should use one of the threads I've done already to work from. This (and other things*) would narrow it down to six choices for me (titles are tentative):

1) Cortesia: Based on the King Cortes thread, where Hernan Cortes forms an independent nation from his conquests.

2) (untitled): Based on this thread, with two PoDs in 1787 -- the Northwest Ordinance bans slavery in new states for ten years (until 1798), and the Constitution is passed without a slave trade clause.

3) Napoleon's War in America: Based on Napoleon's "Greatest Mistake" thread, where Nappy and Touissant reach an arrangement, and the French dictator seeks to implement his "Grand Design".

4) Lincoln's Second Term and After: Not so much based on a thread as having a DBWI thread stem from it. Pretty self explanatory.

5) The Director and The Glory: Based on largely on the thread on Revolutionizing Cinematic History, about a Non-Existent Historic Actor (or NEHA**) who not only transforms how cinema began*** in America, but has an impact on the election of 1920 (largely why I started this thread).

6) Reagan's Crusade Against AIDS: Reagan tackles AIDS in a number of speeches in 1985, and through his second term, with significant effects ranging from the disease itself to conservatism's face in America.

Those are what I'm thinking about; which would you like to see me start with?****

*There were two that I rejected for a first try -- ACW as WW thread, because turned into something else entirely, and the American Auto thread because I think it would overwhelm me

**I haven't seen an equivalent term here, but basically using someone who didn't exist historically as a PoD; might possibly be considered a subset of ASB, not sure

***Note: he wouldn't be only using my answers for his films; I would actually be using ideas in other posts as well;)

****I'm sure I don't need to mention that I'm just feeling the water here -- other factors beside this poll, obviously, are going to go into my decision

EDIT: Also, I didn't know where to put this; I figured four of the six options were pre-1900, so that forum worked best

I voted for Lincoln's Second Term and After, but Napoleon's War in America was a close second.

All of these sound interesting though, so whichever TL you choose will spark my interest :)

Thanks to Ark's kind words.

Also, a clarification: I cast a vote in the poll (for The Director...) but only so that I could check in on the results more easily. Don't read too much into it.

They all sound like good ideas, and I'm confident you can handle any one of them with competence and originality.

That said, I went with the Reagan one.

Well, I really do want to see a TL with a President Wood and the Cabinet we hammered out for him, so the Director one it is!

Thanks to all voters and posters -- due in part from its warm response in the poll, I have an inclination.

And right now it is to do a Lincoln TL. I apologize, as I can't say when I'll start bringing it to you, only to say that I'm thinking of doing it in part RogueBeaver style, part narrative.

I still would love to see more posts and votes; and again, much appreciated. :D

Although I like all of your ideas, and although I am sure you'll do a great job with all of them, I chose for Napoleon's War in America like, seemingly, the plurality of the voters. I hope to see the TL appear soon. :)

Lincolins Second Turm

I voted for Lincolins second turm It would be interesting to see how he, congress and the south delt with reconstruction. That's a good idea. Regan and aids sounds more anti-gay campaign. Considering some conservitive groups antipity towards gays. Concerns that it the gay plague and punishment for being gay Their were at the time perposals for gay concentration camps, gay bashing is not completley unknowen. Neither is lynching. Soumthing involving conservatives, gay and aids could get violent quickley.

I voted for Napoleon's war in America, but by my vote has no real meaning as I'm very interested in Napoleonic Timelines.

However, I saw very few on them on the subject on Napoleon keeping Louisiana and Saint Domingue.
