What would World War I look like if Egypt and Sudan were still part of the Ottoman Empire?

In this timeline, Egypt still conquers Sudan, but doesn't move into Arabia. As time goes on, it doesn't become a British territory. The Suez Canal is still constructed, but somehow, Egypt is able to avoid bankruptcy and takeover by Britain.

Aside from that, history goes on as normal. The Ottoman Empire still loses territory in Libya to Italy and in the Balkans. The Young Turks still take over the Empire. World War I comes around. Russia, France and Britain declare war on the Ottoman Empire after the Ottomans assault Russia's Black Sea ports.

How does World War I develop differently from here? Do the Ottomans successfully conquer the Suez Canal? Does trench warfare break out on the plains of Sudan?

If an ASB basically turns over Egypt and Sudan to the Ottoman Empire in 1914 (but not the Suez) without raising questions, that would nearly double the Ottoman population.

It would make the question of how Italy took Libya so quickly interesting. It would also require Italy to fight a major front in North Africa if they still enter the war, at a time where they don’t have the best control over Libya.

If the Ottoman Empire can effectively draw from Egypt and Sudan and has semi effective transportation they could attack the Suez from both sides. I doubt Britain could hold that for long without drawing serious resources from other fronts.

This is OTL Egypt and Sudan were legally part of the ottoman empire until they joined the central powers. If the Egypt avoids bankruptcy and becoming a British protectorate. It's going to declare independence like otl however this in tl, It will grab parts of the Levant.

Another thing if Egypt isn't a British protectorate, Ottomans can supply it's forces in Libya and the locals meaning Italy will lose or face a far bloodier campaign.

What’s happening with Egypt ITTL to make it so that she doesn’t become what is essentially a de-facto protectorate after the vigorous spending of Ism’ail Pasha in not only modernizing Egypt but on the disastrous war with Ethiopia?
