What would the world be like today if Germany had won World War One?

Would Germany have better been able to deal with The Great Depression? Would a German victory have stopped the Nazis from coming into power?

How would no Holocaust as well as Germany putting a man on the Moon and having nuclear weapons affect the time period of 1950-2000?

Does America still attain some of the success it experienced in OTL? Does it still get nuclear weapons and a space program? Do the Disney theme parks still get built? Or does America fall to either to far right or far left revolution in the 30s or becomes a nightmarish theocracy with the religious right taking power in the 80s with Reagan, Falwell, and Pat Robertson as their leaders?

Would Americans be more socially conservative in this TL?

Does the internet as we know it become a thing?

How much slower does civil rights progress in this TL?

Assuming the Russian revolution still happens how would the USSR have fared competing against an imperial Germany that is a super power and the USA?

Would Germany become an interstellar power by the 22nd Century?

Dear @CmdrShep2154 ... have you ever tried the search function of this board ?

Just a wee recommendation which would have made it clear to you that every question of a past a Central Powers victory of the Great War compulsivly needs at least the mentioning of the time frame (early victory -> signature of peace treaty in first quarter of 1915; late victory -> signature of peace treaty as IOTL or even later. An 'intermediate' solution hasn't been much discussed yet (afaik) ) this victory was achieved.

... esp. regarding your questions of the short-term to intermediate post-war time.

  • I think it is almost certain the NSDAP will never head the German government. Germany would also be well placed to fight the depression, given she doesn't have any reparations and the unemployment rate will be significantly lower - but constitutional reform is left vague here which is important does it evolve into a constitutional monarchy? I'm convinced the hold by the Junker elites and the military can't last forever and Wilhelm promised reform in 1917. The SPD may also play a significant part in the politics of the Reich if not the most important party in the Reichstag.
  • There would be no Holocaust while the persecution of Jews in Germany is insanely less pronounced.
  • The United States will become the financial centre of the world if WWI ends as long as it did (four or so years), but her military power would be significantly reduced.
  • As for the Soviet Union, that depends on whether Germany imposes Brest-Litovsk boundaries. If it does attain the OTL 1922 borders then it will just sit on the outer periphery of Europe without the post-war superpower boon of the Cold War but will still be recognised as a great power within her own domain.
  • It would certainly make strides in space exploration whilst the scientific minds such as Einstein and others would remain in Germany or Europe.
  • I find the idea of revolution or outright civil war in the United States decidedly unrealistic within this context, but that's just my personal view.
  • Once nuclear weapons are developed the U.S. would build their own arsenal as every other major power would.
Early victory or late victory?
  • NSDAP would have never formed or would have remained a tiny splinter of a splinter of a party. The main message by which it attracted its following OTL was linking the pre-existing antisemitic an "racial purity" ideas with the desire for revenge against those who supposedly were responsible for losing the war and signing the "Versailles dictate". A won war would just mean that a few anti-semitic debating clubs would remain what they were before it.
  • There would be nearly no openly Jewish people in Germany a generation later as the total assimilation was already picking up speed by 1900.
  • USA became the financial center of the world by getting the reparation payments to flow through it, providing loans etc. ITTL with a late victory it would probably act as a neutral broker, which would lead to the same outcome probably. In early victory scenario, USA will be mostly bypassed
  • Early victory: no Soviet Union at all, a somewhat weakened Russian empire which may have lost a few bits here and there. Late victory: the Russian civil war likely kicks off outside of the Brest-Litovsk borders, with no less brutality than OTL, but without access to the densely populated Western and Southwestern districts (under German occupation) neither side will have the power to decisively win. Balcanization of Russia proper, and particularly its periphery (Caucasus, Central Asia, Manchuria...) is likely.
  • The political discourse within USA 2-3 generations later will be in both cases entirely unrecognizable from todays view.
  • Without the urgency and the resources made available for a Manhattan Project, it is very likely that nuclear fission will be primarily developed for power generation, with nuclear weapons likely an offshoot at a much later time.

This all depends when and how CPs would win the war.

Economically Germany would be in better situation if Great Depression still hits about as bad as in OTL. Germany wouldn't has massive reparation and it has total control over mines of Rheinland and areas what it manages to capture from France. German economy would be quiet good. Great Depression might still hit Germany but not nearby as severely as in OTL.

And because Germany was victor of the Great War there wouldn't be German Nazi party. No humiliating peace terms, no reparations and no economic troubles mean no Nazis and there wouldn't be Holocaust too. But I can't assure what would happen in France and Russia. In these countries might rise such regimes which might begin persecite Jews.

Germany probably would be first nation possessing nuclear weapon. But that probably will happen in 1950's. But it depends what is going happen in other places.

Geenerally space technology would advance much slower lack of WW2 and Cold War. So even first Moon flight might be later than in OTL. Probably there would be Internet too altough slightly different than in OTL.

United States probably remain isolationist much longer but even that depends what is happening in Europe after Great War. USA will have eventually nuclear bomb but much later than in OTL. Perhaps in 1960's or even early 1970's. Probably USA will have space program too. It is impossible to say anything about DIsney or popular culture. And I think that Germany is going to be center of global movie industry instead United States. Or it is too possible that there is not one leading center of movie industry. Hollywood might not be so markable than in OTL when American poplar culture not take such role in post WW2 Europe as in OTL. Political development is extremely hard to predict. But USA mgith not be so different than in OTL but perhaps it not be so anti-leftist as in OTL. But surely it is more isolationist and lesser interventionist. Civil right movement probably is much slower than in OTL. Perhaps some civil right acts would be passed in 1970's.

Things with Russia depends greatly when and how Germany wins Russia. Altough in such scenario revolution is going to happen, no matter when Germany would defeat Russia. But if Bolsheviks still gain power they are in weaker position when Germany would be much stronger opponent and not allow Russia to take Belarus, Ukraine and Caucasus. Germans might even manage to give Whites enough of supplies that they can defeat Bolsheviks. And even if Bolsheviks win the civil war development depends how long Lenin lives and who succeeds him.
