what would the map of North America look like today Nov 27 2014 if Nova Scotia joined the revolution, and Quebec became a cobelligerent and becomes independent and keeps a mutual protection pact with the USA if either is attacked the other will help.
1) Nova Scotia. No difference. The massive naval base at Halifax is used as a staging post to totally crush those who are revolting (which won't be the majority, anyway.)
2) Québec. Why? They got a decent (not great, but decent) deal from the Brits, there was, AFAIK no republican sentiment, and they'd very much risk both losing the fight and losing what rights they had when they did. If they are merely co-belligerents, what's to stop Britain from taking them over after peace is signed with the 13 colonies? And they're highly unlikely to JOIN the 13.
