What would the fate of Rupert's Land be?

Assume that Quebec and Nova Scotia joined the US in the Revolution, and the United Kingdom was left with the island of Newfoundland and the territory of Rupert's Land after 1783 in North America. What would they do afterwards? Would their settlers go to either of those two lands, or elsewhere? Is it likely those two would get sold to the US at some point?

Newfoundland would probably be kept as a way station to the Caribbean, probably with some loyalists settling there. Rupert's Land probably withers away and gets sold to the US later on (though British Colombia may become a separate colony anyway). Most of the loyalists would head back to Britain, or the Caribbean and possibly Australia.
